Stelvo vs Fitbod, Caliber, Future, Freeletics, JuggernautAI, Strong and Hevy
We make Stelvo, so read this as our comparison, not a neutral review. Every fact about another app comes from that app's own website, help centre or US App Store listing, checked on October 22, 2026; the links are at the bottom. Prices change — check them before you subscribe.
What does Stelvo do that the others don't?
- You can talk to it, mid-workout too. Tell it the bench is taken, your shoulder hurts or you only have 30 minutes, and it changes today's session: swaps the exercise, adjusts the weight, reorders the supersets. None of the other seven has an AI coach you can talk to; Caliber and Hevy send you to ChatGPT instead.
- It remembers what you tell it. Injuries, the equipment at your gym, the days you train: it keeps them, shows you what it stored, and plans around them. Elsewhere, that takes a human coach: Future costs $199/mo, or $149/mo paid yearly.
- Weights from your own history. It suggests working weights from what you've actually lifted lately and raises them as you get stronger, so a plan never asks for a weight you've never come close to.
- A Physique Score from one photo. A score out of 10 with estimated body fat, muscularity, symmetry and more, charted each time you re-scan. No other app here analyses a photo; the others keep progress pictures at most.
- Less than Fitbod. $59.99 a year ($9.99/mo monthly), against Fitbod's $95.99.

When should you pick another app?
- You're on Android or want an Apple Watch app. Stelvo is iPhone only for now; Fitbod, Future, Strong and Hevy run on both phones and watches.
- You want a free trial first. Fitbod gives 7 days and JuggernautAI 2 weeks. Stelvo has no free trial; you can cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.
- You want a human coach. Future, or Caliber's coaching tier, puts a person on your program each week.
- You're peaking for a powerlifting meet. JuggernautAI's readiness checks and RPE-driven blocks are built for that.
- You write your own program and only want a log. Strong and Hevy are fast and cheap.
How did we compare them?
We picked the apps that AI assistants and review sites name when asked for the best AI workout app — Fitbod, Caliber, Future, Freeletics and JuggernautAI — and the two logs most lifters already use, Strong and Hevy. For each we read the pricing page, the help centre and the US App Store listing, and wrote down only what those pages state. "No" means we found no such feature on the app's own pages, not that it can't exist; if we got something wrong, tell us at support@motthouse.com and we'll fix it.
